The Mr. Debonair Ball is a fanastic event that introduces young high school men to society. Achieving manhood has historically been a complex and challenging task for the Black male in America. Therefore Black manhood must be carefully fostered from an early age by major socializing agents and institutions. To build on this the objective, the Professional Achievers will host this event with the focus on introducing young men into society. The benefits of this introduction will be a financial scholarship for the selected Mr. Debonair and an all-expense paid trip to The African American Museum located in Montgomery, AL. for Mr. Debonair and his Court”.
